Learning from Vernacular
The exhibition Learning from Vernacular will be displayed from December 28th 2013, in two places simultaneously: The Munio Gitai Weinraub Architecture Museum in Haifa and the recently opened Munio Gitai Weinraub Gallery in Kibbutz Kfar Masaryk. The exhibition shows examples of traditional constructions all over the world and wonders what how can this kind of "Architecture without architects" effect our way of thinking today.

בית הספר הבדואי ח’אן אל-אחמר

The Bedouin School Khan Al Ahmar
The exhibition curated by Amos Gitai Sharon Yabu Ayalon and Nitzan Set shows the building of the Bedouin Khan Al-Ahmar school in the Maale Adumim area, and touches on the architectural dimension of the school's design based on its construction with recycled tires and compacted earth. The school, located in a border area, was designed by the Italian organization VENTO DI TERRA, which works for human rights and for the quality of the environment.
